SUNFLOWER FOR SUU

a non-violent campaign for democracy in Burma one sunflower at a time.

Post a picture of your sunflower

At the heart of any movement for change is solidarity. We all like to know that others out there feel the same as we do and that they are prepared to take a little bit of time to show their support for something they believe in.

That’s why we are asking you to grow a sunflower (or two).

That is also why we want you to take a photo of yourself with your photo and post it to our photostream on Flickr. Don’t worry all you need to be able to do is email the photo!

So…here’s how you can show your support for Aung San Suu Kyi on the web.

1. Take your photo…and smile. We want to see you and your sunflower. We want to make our movement as visible as we can…importantly, we want to connect to our brothers and sisters in Burma and let them know that we are here and we are aware.

2. Don’t forget to attach it to the email. Make sure you attach the image to the email! Double check that the file size is not going to melt down the internet. If you are unsure, cross your fingers and send anyway.

3. Give your picture a title. Give a title to your picture and put this in the subject line of the email. Whatever you write here will become the title of your picture. So…best to be a little more creative than ‘here is my picture’.

4. Email it to us. Then email your picture to mysunflowerforsuu@me.com
